Susan Brandso: Garden Art

Picture
Picture

I have always had a love of shells and natural wood products and rustic looking items.

The sea and what washes in with the tides are my inspiration.

Living close to the sea with lots of walks along beaches collecting shells and lovely shaped pieces of drift wood I have ended up with lots of natural materials to make things.

I started making wall hangings and Garden art for my own Garden and then making gifts to give friends.

My friends encouraged me to make my art and sell it.
I’m constantly having new ideas popping into my head and can’t wait to create them.

I predominantly use steel rod, pumice, queen palm pods, driftwood, rope, Totara battens and shells to create my art.

I get a lot of pleasure out of people enjoying my artwork and are happy to share ideas with other people who want to give making items a go.
