I'm a local full-time Whangarei Artist. I'm mostly self taught but also studied Art extramurally whilst raising my daughter. I have a diploma in Art and creativity from The Learning Connection. I have dabbled in many art mediums from designing and making circus toys, clothing, fabric painting, paper sculpture for pregnant customers and corrugated iron outdoor art. All of which I developed with unique ways of using materials. |
Currently I'm focused on making indoor and mostly outdoor affordable home decor Art.
I hand design, hand paint and screenprint with exterior grade UV resistant paints.
This process using paints opposed to inks - as well as printing onto an abrasive canvas surface, has its own challenges therefore each piece, start to finish is made solely by me.
In making numerous wood frames, I have developed enjoyment for woodwork and recycling native timber.
My goal has been simply to achieve a full-time income whilst fullfilling my love of design through making affordable Art.
