Art has been a driving force in my life. I enjoy the expressive quality of paint and colour and find a deep inspiration in both the New Zealand landscape, family and friends. I have been exploring and developing my art practice for over twenty years with a wide range of influential and accomplished teachers, such as Allie Eagle, Cushla Parekowhai, Richard Fahey and most recently Anton Chapman. |
My teachers have been an inspiration to me and I am passionate about passing on this knowledge and love to my students.
I have a Bachelor of Art History from the University of Auckland (2010) and I have exhibited in several group exhibitions including Mokopopaki gallery in Karangahape Road.
I was born in Mexico City and I am of New Zealand and Mexican heritage. My photography acts as a springboard for my painting.
I love the Whangarei Heads area and the diversity of landscape found here as well as the community.
