Shirley Ihaka:  spinner

Picture
I have been crocheting and knitting since I was a child and have been spinning for about thirty years. I spin wool, alpaca and possum and wool mix. I have specialised in processing my hand spun yarns because I supply a shop with these items, mainly traditional designs. I use some commercial yarns particularly for special commissions. I have a large collection of patterns but can also adapt patterns for most designs. I am a member of the “Bach” Arts and Crafts Cooperative at the Town Basin. We have lived at Parua Bay for thirty years.
