Lucy Bilyard: Rawkos designs

Picture
Lucy has been creating bold and bright New Zealand Textile Designs for many years under the trade name of “Rawkos”
The handpainted and handprinted designs began with brightly coloured and bold crayfish, john dory, snappers and sunflowers.
After several years of travelling and living aboard the yacht “Jemellie” with Warwick and young children Jemma and Ellie, it is time for new design ideas again!

These new creations still have a strong flavour of New Zealand native flora, fauna and wildlife. The colours are beautiful with subtle handprints of flax flowers, vibrant cabbage trees, nikaus and many more natives.
A slowly expanding new range is available, starting with tea-towels, table runners, and cushion covers. All print designs are inspired by our beautiful New Zealand coastline, and particularly Northlands natural environment.
The textiles are all Handprinted and Handpainted in Parua Bay.

Lucy is not exhibiting in the 2019 Arts Trail but you can visit by appointment - phone 09 4365522 or 09 4360754 to contact her.
